Headaches & Migraines

Life Right Headaches & MigrainesAn ache in the head can be mild hardly noticeable or really disabling. When an ache in the head and neck area stops you from performing your regular activities it is truly a pain! The neck is an area of the body that can give rise to head pains and aches. Known as cervicogenic headaches rarely diagnosed by Medics. If you have horrible headaches we can help you, whether it is your neck or it is your partner causing them we can help you!

At Life Right we look at lifestyle issues such as diet, exercise, supplementation, body work, mind work and relationships. Examining your individual patterns in your life is where we will find an answer to affect the symptoms you’re noticing. Unlike drug therapy that looks to change your body / brain chemistry; we look to see how we can alter your body / brain chemistry via novel inputs to your nervous system… eg your GP might say you have a chemical imbalance but you know the chemistry you share between you and a work colleague is what causes the ache in your head. When you change your emotional state or your cognitive state you also change your brain chemistry.  We look to give you responsibility for your health care toward you being a partner in you getting well. We always want to know what you notice about your aches and or pains because you might just hold the key to resolving them with our help.

A tension headache is the most common type of headache.  It’s generally a diffuse, mild to moderate achey pain.  Managing a headache is often a balance between fostering healthy habits, identifying nutritional triggers, ensuring that you are able to exercise, cope with your life, enjoy interaction with others and you are working toward achievable dreams.  Life Right could help you to get your headaches or migraines under control, without the side effects of medication.  For those already on medication, always discuss the possibility with your GP that your medication is responsible for your headaches. Sometimes medication can cause the symptoms they are given to treat.
