Physical

The health of a human includes their physical condition. The current trends of humans becoming ever more obese due to the lack of real food consumption, an increase in the consumption of fizzy fattening drinks and a society that does not take responsiblity for their own physical state are causes for concern.  The ability of the body to survive in many different guises is apparent by the different shapes and sizes that people develop into. The general health ideas of moving well, eating well, thinking well and feeling well are perhaps not so prevalent on the minds of all. We only get one body so why do some abuse them to such an extent?

Classically the body is undergoing change in our early years which can be mistaken for resilience, but our brain doesn’t stop developing until we are between 25 and 30 years old whereas our skeleton isn’t fully formed until we are about 35 years old.

Emotional development is ongoing throughout life.
Emotions allow for hormones to be released and these in turn allow for adaptation to take place.  Emotions are therefore incredibly important to humans as a tool for wellbeing.  A body is the sensory portion of the brain, letting it know about it’s surroundings whilst transporting the brain from place to place. The body consists of very specialised nerves to inform the brain about distinct aspects of reality.

Keeping your body well doesn’t just mean responding when something goes wrong… just as a car requires regular maintenance, so does your body.

Our body is formed of three different types of tissues: Skin (Derma), Muscle (Myo) and Bone (Sclera) from which of our body is formed. These are traced in certain instances in medicine to see where problems may lie in the spinal cord or in the brain in Neurology.

Wellbeing is not the opposite of sickness – in wellbeing you get to take care of yourself as much as you want striving for your best health. Wellness is not doing the right thing when you are ill or complete avoidance of illness. Illness is a part of life. When illness strikes if you are stronger then it has less of an effect than if you are weak when illness strikes. Wellbing enables us to be as strong as we can be for when things do go wrong.  Taking care of yourself does not mean you will be free of ailments but it does mean that you’ll be better off than if you didn’t take care of yourself. Wellness is not about reaching an ideal pinnacle of health but to be your idea of your best.

At Life Right we believe that if you are at your strongest you are better prepared for whatever life throws at you.
